Notes from readers. Part three. 2/4

I just realized I haven’t done this since 2017. Time flies.

I appreciate each and every note I receive. It’s always interesting to me what readers want to know. Thank you for all of the notes about The Book Doctor. I’m excited you’re excited. 🙂

Hello Britney,

I have pre-ordered The Book Doctor but don’t know if I can wait until April.
I have started to read Kill, Sleep, Repeat again because like watching your favourite film more than once (I must have watched the graduate at least ten times) you see things you probably missed the first time.

Is there any of you in Charlotte or is there any of Charlotte in you?

Thank you for pre-ordering The Book Doctor!

I suppose there are bits of all of us in all characters. Having said that, how boring would the writing process be if my female characters were modeled after me? Pretty boring. I don’t think of it that way when I’m writing. I allow the story to flow through me but I never feel like I’m in complete control of what comes out. My characters are like real people to me, with minds of their own, their own desires, and methods in which to fulfill those desires.

Thank you, again. It’s an honor that you’d read one of my novels twice.

Britney

KSR three

Several times a week, Charlotte Jones leaves suburbia behind and boards a chartered flight to parts unknown, where she wraps her hands around the necks of marks for just as long as she has to.

Then she goes back to domestic life with a paycheck, defense wounds, and the sense that she can handle anything.

Which is good, because being a wife, mother, and sociopath, with an insatiable taste for murder, gives the term work-life balance new meaning. When one life unexpectedly bleeds into the other, leading to a secret admirer and borderline insta-fame, Charlotte is forced to ask herself if she really can have it all.

Slick and unsettling, Kill, Sleep, Repeat is a cunning tale of deception and desire that begs the question: Do we ever really know people the way we think we do?
