However, little by little things start going very wrong for her. It seems that 20 years ago she was on a jury that convicted Jack Mooney of rape. He is now out and wants revenge on the jurors, starting with Amy. He is everywhere she turns. He is menacing and threatening. He goes right up to the line without her being able to prove anything or for him to get arrested. The way King ratchets up the tension and creepiness in this book is outstanding. I literally could not put his book down. I love books where an average, everyday person gets put into such a mess and tries to get out. I won’t soon forget this story and Amy! Please stop what you are doing and read this creepfest!”

“There are not enough stars in the universe for this. I guess I’ll just give it 5 and imagine that I am actually giving it so many more. This was really just intense and left me on the edge. I wasn’t ever really sure what was going to happen with it, and I really love that. There were so many moving parts that sometimes something would sneak past me and then cosh me on the back of the head and make sure that I knew it was there. But even with all the moving parts, sneaky and unsneaky, and all the OMFG what! moments, and the intensity, it wasn’t a difficult read.
