It probably comes as no surprise given that most of my books contain (or in some cases revolve around) letters/notes/emails, that they’re up there with the things that make me happiest. Written words are my most favorite kind. 🙂

Because it’s November, and because gratitude and appreciation seeming fitting… and also because I have my nose to the grind finishing my latest novel, I thought I’d share some of my favorite recent notes from readers this month—with their permission of course.

The best part is, people always seemed so surprised when I write back, which I always do, and often I get the funniest responses around that. I cherish them all.

This note was sent by a minor. Therefore I will not be sharing details in regard to her name or location. It’s one of my favorites because of its honesty. I get a fair amount of correspondence from young people (older ones, too) who want to tell their stories but have yet to find their voice. It feels like a lot of responsibility, to be quite honest, but as someone who has been a mother for more than half of her life (at the tender age of 35;) often I find that is all I know. And while I won’t tell these stories (I know what is mine to tell and what isn’t) the beauty of it is encouraging them to do so themselves.

I would just like to say thank you for publishing your amazing story. It took me only three days to read this amazing story like I couldn’t take my eyes off it. It was so interesting and it taught me something I should be taught which is “love”, and this book seems to teach not only teenagers but everyone in this world that may be reading this right now that we all should rush into things. And this has taught me everything. Thank you again for writing this. I wasn’t going to read it at first as these kind of books doesn’t match my interest, but now that I have read it, I am glad I have chosen this book to read.

This is my first ever book that I have read online and I would actually read it again. I didn’t hate any of the story, I loved it! I am a teenager myself and it made me realise more about everything.

I would love to tell you my real life story of what has happened to me in the past and I know you can write it as a story. But they are some really upsetting scenes and stuff. You are really good at putting words together!
