Love Letters 4/4

“Both infuriated and thrilled by the effect that man had on her, she smiled just a little. God, she was so f*cked.” —Britney King, Bedrock

To celebrate February, I thought I’d share a few, or four, short excerpts of love letters from the Bedrock Series.

Speaking of which, I’ve tweaked the synopsis yet again. Each time I peek into the manuscript I have to resist the temptation to re-write the whole thing. Not because it’s bad, but because it feels like a million years ago, and as with most things a little distance and hindsight help one see things more clearly.

Anyway, onward is where it’s at.

The letter below doesn’t need a whole lot of explanation either. Except to say…

William: Clinical and controlling.

Seems a little much now, but maybe that’s what she needed. 😉

Dearest Addison,

I hope you like the flowers.

Words can’t describe how much I miss waking up next to you in the morning.

Your presence gives my life new meaning. And your absence leaves a noticeable void.

I need to see you before it all goes further downhill. 😉

A car will be waiting outside the lobby at noon. Go outside and get in it. I’ll be waiting.

See you soon,

William
