“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.” ― Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets
Fair warning: This post and teaser pic aren’t exactly PG (which you may have already gathered from the title), so if you’re not up for more, you’ll want to stop here. Please.
I met the most amazing new friend standing in line at a local author signing this past weekend. Which I swear was fate at its finest. There’s so much more I’d like to write about it…l mean seriously when was the last time you met a random stranger standing in line on a perfect Autumn day and then spent nearly a half of a whole day talking to them about books, love, life…and all the rest. For me, it had been a while and it made me realize I seriously need to do more of that. Then, I happened upon this article earlier this week and fell in love with it just a little bit. Smile, Breathe, and Go Slowly. So, yeah that, too. 🙂
P.S. I’m neck-deep in work… trying to meet my deadline to get Breaking Bedrock to my editor in a few weeks… so all I’ve got right now is a teaser (thanks Lisa!) and the song (see below) I’ve written to this week. It plays a pretty significant role in the story. 😉 Also, Bedrock is on blog tour right now and there are a few giveaways going on, so check it out over on Facebook.
P.S.S. Breaking Bedrock is tentatively scheduled for release on 12/16/13. Add it to your TBR here. Just a reminder that I’ll be signing at the Texas Book Festival this Sunday 10/27/13 from 3-4pm in the Writers League of Texas booth. Hope to see a few familiar faces. 😉
