Water Under The Bridge is LIVE + Bonus Scene

“I ask for you, and they tell me not to worry, they will help me.

But I know better.

Nothing can help me now.

They are liars.” ~ Britney King, Water Under The Bridge

First things first, IT’S RELEASE DAY. 🙂 In other words, Water Under The Bridge is live everywhere.

Secondly, I’m sharing two additional (short) scenes below. And a sketch of one of the illustrations my husband did.

You’ve been gone twenty-four hours, and I’m at a loss as to what to do with myself to fill the time. Part of me wonders whether you’re ever coming back or whether I’ve really done it for good this time. I don’t want to lose you, but at the same time, I don’t want to lose myself either. This isn’t who I am, the kind of woman who spends her time roaming from room to room, wondering about a man. I have to fix this or else I have to do something different.

You’re gone four days, and you come home without warning. When I return home from a charity luncheon that Anne invited me to, I’m surprised to find you in your office.

You don’t ask where I’ve been. You simply stand, walk around the desk, plant your mouth on mine and usher me backward, laying me flat across your desk. Then you push my dress up over my hips, and you show me what forgiveness feels like.
